All patients were previously healthy children aged 7-11 years who presented with fever and local swelling due to the lesion. Contrast-enhanced CT scans revealed abscess formation in all cases. Antibiotic treatment with ampicillin/sulbactam (ABPC/SBT) was effective, with only one case requiring needle aspiration. All cases recovered without severe complications. The M1UK strain, recognized as an emerging GAS clone, has been increasingly reported in Japan.
